Daily Haiku

The air was much cooler this morning. I got up as usual to make my coffee and opened the back door to the garden, went out and fed the rabbit. Then I came back into the house, there was a black cat in my bedroom, with white paws. I was startled and the cat ran down the hall and found a way out through the open window by the dining table. It’s good to have a cat around, even if just a neighbour’s, they’ll hunt the voles that keep eating my strawberries and beetroot.

Distant lambs crying,

Cockerel and peacock calls,

Pregnant clouds hang low
